It's June Already!!

Hi all,

I can't believe it is June already!! Where has the year gone!! Now for those that I have not seen in the past week or so, I just wanted to let you know that I won't be doing any Stampin' Up! workshops for a little while again. Life is pretty crazy at the moment, so I am taking some time out. I am still doing catalogue parties and I will be doing my Monday night classes every second month starting from July.

We had a Stamp-A-Stack class on Monday and it was great! Here are some of the cards that we made -

I hope you all enjoyed it! Don't forget to book your seat for the next one!!

Here is the June challenge -

There are no particular rules this month, only being to use this sketch as a base. You can add a sentiment, or something down the bottom. You can use ribbon or whatever you like! Let your imagination run wild!!

Entries are due by 11.59pm on Saturday, 20th June, link of your entry to my blog. Good luck, can’t wait to see your entries!!

Here is a picture of our kitchen, it is looking so gorgeous. We have been told that we might be able to start moving in in about 5 weeks!! I am in panic mode now, have to start packing!!!

Thanks for reading! Talk to you all again soon!

Update

Hi all,

Now I am sure life is crazy for all of you, but sometimes don't you just wish things would slow down!!

We had a bit of a scare earlier this week with a trip to the hospital for Georgia on Sunday. This trip turned into a 3 day stay at Hervey Bay hospital with a pretty severe virus. She had high temps that we couldn't control with panadol and nurofen, so she was best to stay in hospital so that the doctors could monitor her. They put her on an IV so that they could keep up the fluids as she wasn't eating or drinking and I have to say this was the most traumatic thing I have ever been through (and I am sure Georgia would say the same if she could tell you a story)!! The staff and doctors at the hospital were wonderful but I am so happy to be home in my own bed and finally getting some sleep!! What a happy mothers day I had!!!

Now before all of this happened I was actually able to get some cards made for my challenge and for mothers day.

Here is the very late attempt at my challenge for you -

And here are a couple of other cards I was able to make, this is the mother's day card that we gave to Peter's mum -

I forgot to take a photo of the card I gave to my mum, so I will have to take a photo and put it on here later.. I got on a bit of a roll, so I made this one as well.

Now here is an update on our house, the external brick work is mostly finished and the internal walls are up.

Here is what the kitchen looked like before we went to hospital -

And after we got home!!

Amazing isn't it, I can't believe how fast it is coming together!!! I am getting more and more excited every week, I can't wait!!!

Now finally, just to show you that Georgia is doing fine, here she is talking on the phone yesterday -

And of course, throwing a tantrum this morning, so she is obviously feeling much better!!!

We think she is still gorgeous even when throwing tantrums though!!!

Don't forget to get your entries in for my sketch challenge!!

And lastly just to let you know I am having a stamp-a-stack on Monday, 1st June at the RSL from 7-9pm so contact me ASAP to book your seat or to ask for more information.

Wow! I can take a breath now, that was a long update....

Take care, see you all soon!!

Wow!

I can hardly believe it, but I actually got to create some cards today!! I am having a day off work and decided to use it to create some cards (the housework always waits!!).

Here they are,

Firstly a card using the Mojo Monday week 75 sketch, I just love this sketch and I know I am going to use it over and over...

This one was my first attempt at the same sketch, but it went all wrong...

This is using the Mojo Monday week 83 sketch, not entirely happy with this, but thought I would show you anyway...

It is a shame that the day is almost over, I was just starting to get my mojo back again, isn't that always the way! Anyway, off to the toy library now and to do a little shopping, back to work tomorrow... Have a great afternoon!

Thanks for looking...

Challenge winner!

Hi all,

The challenge for this month involved a sketch and colour theme. The colours were Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Close to Cocoa and Whisper White and this was the sketch -

I actually got time to make a couple myself this month, here they are -

Once again, I have received some amazing entries and I loved all of them so I had a tough time picking the winner. Congratulations to for Kel this entry -

I love how you have used the dots up the side of the layout. Looks great!

And an honourable mention goes to Kathryn with this card -

I love the chunky glitter! Gorgeous card!

Here are the rest of the entries, aren't they gorgeous!! I am sure you can see why I had a hard time picking a winner! I just love that I am getting scrapbook page as well as cards!
(Go to the comments section of the previous post to go the links, check out everyones fabulous work!)

Thanks so much for playing along! Hope you had fun, I definitely did looking at everyone's creations. I also found a lot of inspiration that I have been lacking, now to just find the time to use it!!!

What has been happening lately?

Just a quick post to let you know what I have been up to and why I haven't been here much lately....
Firstly, our house has started, the slab went down yesterday and the roof should be on in a couple of weeks (if the weather allows). So that has all been very exciting! Here is a picture of our slab...

I have also had a go at sewing in the past couple of weeks and here is what I have made, an outfit for Georgia. It is not great, but not bad for a first attempt!

This is why I haven't done any stamping lately!

Big Stampin' Up! news also, the new 2009/2010 Idea Book and Catalogue is out on Wednesday, so contact me to reserve your copy today. You don't want to miss out! If you are wanting to book a workshop, you will need to book in advance as I will only be doing 1 workshop/month plus my monday night class from now on due to my busy schedule.

Here is a piccy of the pretty cover!

The next monday night class will be 6th April, so let me know if you are coming. I will be showing you a couple of different techniques and you will be able to bring along any projects you are currently working on. I will have some stamps (including some new ones!) for you to play with as well. I will also have a variety of retired stamps on the night that you can buy. Cost of the night is $7 and you will be required to bring your own supplies and tools. I will have coffee/tea and some light refreshments available. It will be held at the Aldershot Hall again, it seems like a nice venue, I hope you all liked meeting there last time!

Ok, now finally (this is the longest post I have ever done!!), the April Challenge...

This month I want you to make a card or scrapbook page using the following layout -

I found this sketch on the following link http://sketches-r-us.blogspot.com/, great site for sketch ideas!

Anyway the rules:
1. Use this sketch to design your card/scrapbook page
2. Use the following colours on your card, Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Close to Cocoa and Whisper White, lovely colours and very similar to those being used in our new house! If you don't have all of these colours, just try to use something similar.
3. Challenge closes midnight 19th April.

Good Luck!
