Another KWerner Design Challenge!

I am too late with this challenge, but here is the card I made, wasn't quite what I have pictured in my mind, but not too bad!

This was our inspiration -

The winners and an apology!!

Ok firstly the winners, the winner of the sketch challenge is Bronnie with this great card -

Check out Bronnies blog for more of her great work at www.bronwynsstampinspot.blogspot.com
And the winner of the colour challenge was Kelly with this lovely card -

Congrats ladies, there is a little gift coming your way!! (Bron, if you could send me an email with your address I will pop something in the post for you) Thanks to everyone who participated, these are so much fun, I love seeing everyone's ideas come in!

Now, I have a big apology to make to Barb, who is a friend of mine and a fellow SU demonstrator. Barb helped me with the Craftfest and while we were there, she made heaps of cards for these challenges, however in my hast to get them on my blog, I have forgotten to include them in the entries, so to make up for it I am going to send her a RAK consisting of a card and ribbon pack. SORRY BARB!! Here are her cards for you to look at and comment on, let me know what you think I am sure she would love to hear. They are all great cards!!

Thanks for looking!

Maryborough CraftFest

Hi all, I have been MIA for a little while, I have been at the CraftFest in Maryborough here for a few days. It was a great turn out, lots of handmade craft stalls, some very talented people.

Here are some photos of our stall, Barb and I manned the stall and had a great time creating and talking to everyone about Stampin' Up!

The first couple of photos are of Bard sitting at our stall and the third shot is of Peter's Aunty Helen who was sitting beside us.

CraftFest was to help celebrate the centenary of the City Hall, it turned 100 this year!!

Mel's No Layers Challenge

Unbelievable I know, but I have another card finished for yet another challenge I have always wanted to do. This is one from Mel's blog and the rule was "no layering". So here is my attempt, not totally happy with this card, but until I have time to make another, this will do! Hope you like it....

My First Kwerner Design Challenge Attempt!

I have wanted to enter a Kwerner Design Challenge for so long now, I look at them every week but never quite get there.... This time I actually got to make a card!!!! This was the challenge this week...

We had to use the colours, chocolate chip, pumpkin pie, old olive and very vanilla. Hope you like my card!

October Challenges

These come around so quickly!!! One day I may even be able to give them a go, lol!!
Firstly the Sketch Challenge -

With this challenge, you need to create a card using this layout. You don’t have to worry about the instructions on this layout (ie. Versamark, ripped vellum), just use the layout to design your card.

And next the colour challenge -

Use this picture as inspiration to come up with a card (using similar colours as used in this photo). I can see Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant, Soft Sky and Whisper White, but I am sure that you can probably see a bunch of other colours, so see what you can create!!

Now just for fun and for something different (this is not a competition, this one is just to share some creative scrapbook ideas) here is a page sketch....

I love this sketch, see what beautiful pages you can come up with using this and let us all see!!

Entries are due by the 20th of October, so either email or post them to me or link them to my blog.... Good Luck!!

Burrum Heads Class

In a couple of weeks I am going to be holding a class for the ladies at Burrum Heads, here is what we are going to be making....

I thought I would share, as I think the little bags are so cute...

UStamp Prize

I am so excited!!! It is like Christmas!!! I mentioned in an earlier post that I had joined up for the first class through UStamp, well guess what!! I entered a competition through UStamp and won a prize!!! I got it in the mail today, all the way from Canada, here is what I won!!!!

How awesome is that!! Can't wait to go and use it! The ribbons are in the new US In Colours and they are so nice... And the stamp set is in our Catalogue and is one that I don't have yet, so that is great! That will have to wait though as I am organising everything for my stall at the Craft Fair next week and also prepping for Monday nights class at the moment.... Not to mention organising everything for Georgia to start daycare on Monday!!!! busy, busy, busy....
Talk to you all soon,
Gina x
